TBSFA FC complete 4th Sangai Trophy quarterfinal lineup

Imphal, June 08 2022: TBSFA FC (Taobungkhok) emerged runners-up of Group C to earn the remaining quarterfinal spot of the 4th Sangai Trophy Veteran Football Championship 2022 on Wednesday.

TBSFA FC eased to a 3-1 win over KVFA to end their group stage campaign with nine points for their place in the last four.

O Inaocha opened the scoring in the 12th minute and then Herojit doubled the lead in the 48th minute before O Inaocha netted his second and team's third goal in the first minute of injury time.

KVFA's goal came only in the final seconds of the stoppage time through Th Rengshel.

TBSFA FCwill now meet ATVFA (Thangmeiband) in the first quarterfinal match on June 12 as FC Imphal (Mayai Koibi) take on UVSA FC (Lilong Chajing) in the second quarterfinal on the same day.

The other two quarter-final matches pit UVSA (Lilong Chajing) against FLAM (Imphal) and VSAI (Thangmeiband) against SVA (Khongjom Keirak) on June 13.In other Group C match on Wednesday, TRVSA thumped SIRTI 5-1 but the former failed to qualify for the last eight.

W Umakanta (11', 18') scored a double while Th Sanjot (1'), K Bobo (22') and N Sarat (50') contributed one each in their side's victory.

Bokpha Monsang (42') netted the only goal of SIRTI.
