3rd Manipur Clay Court Tennis Tourney : Luching, Suraj, Ribhaskar advance to men's open singles semi-finals

Imphal, January 07 2022: Luching, Suraj and Ribhaskar made themselves into the men's open singles semi-finals in the 3rd Manipur Clay Court Tennis Tournament 2022 being underway at Imphal District Tennis Association clay tennis court, Lamphelpat.

Ribhaskar booked his semi-final ticket beating Atap 8-6 in the quarter final today while Luching eased to a 8-2 win over Gobin to confirm his last four ticket.

Suraj on the other hand outlasted Churchil 8-3 .

9 matches of the 35+ doubles pre-quarter final round were also decided today.

Balkrishna and Suraj pair beat George and Biju 8-2 to secure the last 8 round of the competition before Korou and Domson outlasted Pradeep and Amol pair 8-5 .

Kene and Kumarjit, then saw off Jogen and Motitlal pair 8-0 as Aken and Ashok pair got the better of Arun and Chingkheingamba pair 8-3, Sanayaima and Pritam romped past NK Meitei and Sanatomba 8-4 and Ribhaskar and Rakesh pair eased past Babulu and Ratan 8-1 .

In the 45+ doubles pre quarter final matches, Kene and Kumar beat M Pradip and A Prem 8-3 and Ranjit and Babulu beat Vikram and Pradeep 8-2 to secure quarter final berths.
