Kangpokpi, November 04 2015:
Reiterating its stand over the alleged "intentional scrapping" of Jamsat Songtun Youth Club (JSYC), Sadar Hills by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) from the 20th Winner's Cup, 2015, the club on Wednesday rejected the latter's clarification.
JSYC General Secretary Paoboi Kipgen reiterated that the scrapping of the club was "unmistakably intentional" and a grave mistake committed by the football governing body.
Refuting AMFA allegations on fielding of ineligible players in the winner's cup, Paoboi Kipgen clarified, "I had personally submitted the alleged ineligible player Ng Bedeenpar Moyon loaning forms at the AMFA office on July 14 and there is no question of Ng Bedeenpar Moyon ineligibility since all requisite formalities as desired by AMFA had been sincerely made on the part of JSYC" .
Paoboi recalled that he submitted the loaning forms of Ng Bedeenpar Moyon at AMFA office when the General Secretary who is the authorized person to make the entry "was not available at the office." Paoboi said he submitted the documents to the two computer operators who were the only persons present at the moment and left the office early since it was at a time when the law and order situation in valley was bad.
On the part of JSYC officials, responsibilities have been "sincerely and dedicatedly" followed while AMFA, "having unfair attitude" made efforts to blame the club, said Paoboi.
He pointed out that it was AMFA officials "negligence and carelessness" that compelled them to take the decision of scrapping JSYC.
Paoboi said JSYC, Sadar Hills has been a loyal club of AMFA over 15 years that "devotedly assisted and facilitated" AMFA in its programmes in Sadar Hills and added, "We are extremely discontented over AMFA shameless decision towards JSYC, Sadar Hills." He also warned that JSYC Sadar Hills will not remain silent if AMFA fails to resolve the issue amicably at the earliest.
