Imphal, January 04 2014 : State athletes
Athletic Association of Manipur (AAM) has selected 156 athle-tes (M&W) to represent the State in the 35th National Masters Athletic Champion-ship to be held from Febuary 24 to 27 at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.

The selected pla-yers are informed to report along with their birth certifi-cates and two photographs between January 6 to 9 during 2pm to 4pm at the association office in Mapal Kangjeibung, according to an AAM release.

BCCI tourney
Manipur Cricket Association has informed all the players who are selected to represent the State in the BCCI tournament, 2013-14 for U-16/17/25 to report on January 6 at 9 am Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

State veteran cricket tournament
The 11th Manipur Veteran cricket tournament organised by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association (MVCA) would be held from January 15 at Langthabal Public Ground.

Nine teams would participate in the tournament with Cyclone and DSU set to kick off the tournament.

Managers meeting would be held on January 11 at the residence of Biswajit Sharma, Kwakeithel Dewan Leikai, informed MVCA.

National wushu trial programme
A trial selection organised by the Wushu Association of Manipur for the 22nd Senior (Men /Women) National Wushu Championships (Febuary 6 at Jaipur) would be held on January 8 at Wushu Training Hall, Khuman Lampak Main stadium.

Only registered players of WAM may take part in the trial meet.

submission of entries would be entertained within Jan 7 .

Chess coaching programme
A one month chess coaching programme of under -25 organised by the Singjamei Chess Club would be held from January 11at Singjamei Chess Club.
