Muaythai event ends, K-I open to start today

Imphal, February 02 2014:
The 3rd Imphal National Muaythai Championship 2014 which began from February 1 at the YAS Boxing Stadium, Khuman Lampak, Imphal concluded successfully today with participants from Mizoram, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Tripura dominating the event.
On the other hand, the first ever "K-1 Open India Championship 2014" will commence from tomorrow at the same boxing stadium and will conclude on February 4, 2014 .
The winners in the "3rd Imphal National Muaythai Cup 2014" are also "Qualifiers" for the upcoming "World Muaythai Championship 2014" to be held at Bangkok, Thailand.
The 3rd Imphal National Muaythai Cup 2014 was organized by MFI Pro-Muaythai Promotional Council with the sanction of Muaythai Federation of India (MFI) under the direct patronage of the World Muaythai Federation (WMF), World HQs, Bangkok, Thailand.
Manipur K-1 Association (MK-1A) is to organize the "First ever K-1 Open National Championship 2014" at Imphal with the sanction of the K-1 Federation of India (K-1FI) under the direct
patronage of the World Amateur K-1 Federation (WAK-1F) .
