CDCC, KCC, PSC & YUCC notch up wins in MNCA Superplate Tournament

CDCC, KCC, PSC and YUCC emerged the victors in the MNCA Superplate Tournament 2023-24 on Friday.
CDCC recorded a comprehensive 98-run victory against OSCAR at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Ataur Rahaman smashed 62 off 57 balls to help CDCC post a total of 198 for 7 after the side elected to bat.
The innings also saw Monish Meitei (45) and N Priyojit (37) make significant contributions.
In the process, 4 of CDCC's wickets fell prey to Boocker, 2 to Bijendro, and one each to Pawankumar and Rinku.
CDCC then bowled well to stop OSCAR's run chase, bowling them out in 28.2 overs for 100.Jodiba was the chief destroyer for CDCC, claiming 4 scalps.
Khurshid did his part with 2 wickets while FM Shariff, Robert and Ataur took one wicket each.
KCC produced an all- round performance to beat UCC by 4 wickets at Oriental College Ground.
Asked to bat, KCC set up a 239-run target for the opposition.
They lost 5 wickets in their innings, where M Arbin (59), M Rohen (55), N Dijaraj (32), Th Momocha (30), K Mronojit (24) and W Kishan (13 not out) batted well to propel their team to an imposing total.
In reply, UCC faltered in their run chase as they ended managing just 138 after being bundled out in 34.4 overs.
Y Sheetindra and W Somor-jit equally shared 8 wickets between them while T Tomba chipped in with a wicket in KCC's dominant win.
Earlier, Bishorjit picked up 2 wickets while Jenish, Bicky-kumar and Anson bagged one wicket each for UCC.
Prasantajit's 124 helped PSC secure a 47-run win over IBSA at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Electing to bat, PSC scored 223 for 9 in 40 overs.
Their total was built on Prasantajit's brilliant knock of 124 off 107 balls.
Sagarjit (17), Ibungomacha (17), Kenny (11), Devwart (11) and Jellish (10 not out) were other contributors to their total.
PSC then took 36.1 overs to skittle out IBSA for 176 as fighting efforts by Rajababu (63) and Lemba (33) went in vain.
Kenny and Ibungomacha starred in PSC's bowling attack.
The duo scalps 4 wickets each as Martin took one.
Earlier, Pravesh, Tamom and Heromen each took 2 wickets for IBSA.
At Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, YUCC claimed a 37-run success against TCMDC in a low-scoring match.
YUCC batted first and were all out for 155 in 39.1 overs.
In the innings, Rohit (27), Prithibiraj (27), Lenin (15) and Bidyashwor (13) were the main run-getters.
Despite their poor innings, YUCC dished out a terrific bowling display to bowl out TCMDC for 118 in 25.1 overs.
Kadamjit emerged as the hero for YUCC by taking 5 wickets as both Devraj and Prithibiraj picked up 2 wickets, and Sanjit took one.
