Ward number 1 (B), 3(A), 17 register wins in Kanggui Ward Tourney

Kangpokpi, January 24 2018: A well combination of senior player Len Lhouvum and Tonghen gives Ward number 1 (B) its first win in the ongoing Kanggui Inter Ward Wise Tournament over Ward number 14 (B) in the first match of today at Brig.

The fair but intense attacking match of both side ended 4-0 in favour of Ward 1 (B) who found the net through Daniel (11th), Boipu (47th), Haominthang (70th) and Len Lhouvum (76th) with the assistance of Tonghen and Len Lhouvum combination.

The already go kaput fans of Ward number 1 (B) after witnessing the their first ever win in the tournament were seen going crazy outside the playground, jump high and dance blowing vuvuzela and beating drums while cheering and applauding their players.

In the second match, Ward number 3 (B) had a narrow 1-0 win over Ward number 11 after a defeated in their first match which also witnessed similar cheers and applauded from their enthusiastic fans.

Seiminlal strike home the winning goal of Ward number 3 (B) in the 10 th minute while both the custodian of Ward number 3 (B) Zion and Ward number 11 Chonlal were booked yellow card by the centre referee for their unsporting manner in the 26th and 35th minute respectively.

The third match today witnessed a furious game on the part of Ward number 17 and Ward number 9 comprising of various talented and senior player in both the team.

However, Ward number 17 striker Haoginmang despite few on target goals managed to find the net twice in the 29 th and 59 th minute respectively stunning Ward number 9 who had abundant opportunity and on target goals during the game.

Tomorrow, Ward number 16 and Ward 2 (B) will meet in the first match at 11:00 am while Ward number 8(A) will take on Ward number 5 in the second match at 12.30 pm and Ward number 6 and Ward number 4(A) will play in the third match at 2 pm.
