KLASA, NEROCA carry the day in MSL

Imphal, December 22 2021: The Manipur State League on Wednesday saw KLASA FC and NEROCA FC notch up wins at Turf Ground, Lamlong.

Dhanachandra's last-gasp goal gave KLASA FC a hard-fought 1-0 victory over TRAU FC in a Group A clash.

The win sees KLASA top their Group table with 13 points from six games.

After a futile see-saw battle for 90 minutes, KLASA sprang a surprise on TRAU in the final seconds of stoppage time with Dhanachandra firing home the winner.

In another Group A contest, Manglenthang netted a double as NEROCA FC came from behind to cruise past YUFC 4-1 .

The result propelled the Sangakpham side to second spot in the standings with 10 points.

Julian Keising put YUFC ahead eight minutes into the game and it looked like the Ukhrul squad were leading through the first-half contest until Manglenthang broke through just before the end of one-minute injury time to equalise for NEROCA.

After the restart, NEROCA took control of the game and overturned the scoreline in style.

Md Aruwas struck in their second goal in the 62nd minute and L David made it 3-1 in the 73rd minute.

Then it was up to Manglenthang who rounded off their scoring with an 81st-minute effort to help NEROCA run out 4-1 winners.
