2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament begins, YWC victorious in opener

Imphal, January 20 2019: YWC, Langthabal posted a huge 5 wicket victory against Blue Hawk, Khurai today in the opening match of the 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground featuring of total of 20 teams clustered into 4 groups taking part in it.

Blue Hawk which won the toss and opted to bat first managed 114 runs for-8 in 20 overs with Sanatombi scoring the highest of 42 runs in 30 overs.

Lokeshor and Samson also added 20 and 18 runs in this innings for the Khurai side.

Th Kishan and Sunil of YWC-L grabbed two wickets each in their spell of 4 overs in this innings while Subachandra got a wicket.

YWC-L chased down the target in 19.1 overs with 5 wickets left in the hand to open up their group stage (Group C) winning account.

Prafullomani top-scored in this innings making a total of' 38 runs in 39 balls while Prakashmani remained not out with 22 runs from 18 balls in his name.

Th Kishan who claimed 2 wickets in the first innings added 13 runs in 9 balls to help YWC Langthabal post a total of 116 runs for 5 and was eventually named man of the match.

Ozzy and Sanjit of Blue Hawk also claimed two wickets in the last innings while Senate claimed a single.

CYCLONE will take on SSU in a Group A league match tomorrow at 9 am while PCC will face KIYC in a Group D league match.
