NE Rising Cup for U-15 Girls : Manipur bow out with 76 run semi-final loss to Tripura

State U-15 girls ended their campaign in the North East Rising Cup 2025 for U-15 Girls as they suffered a 76-run loss to Tripura in a semi-final clash this afternoon at Annexe ground, ACA Stadium, Guwahati.
Group A runners up, Manipur restricted Group B winners, Tripura to 125/6 after winning the toss and opting to bat first.
They however faltered badly in the chase and slumped to 49 all out in 17.5 overs to bow out of the 8-team tournament hosted by Assam.
Anwska Shil (41 off 35 balls; 6 fours) and Anjel Paul (32 off 20 balls; 6 fours) led the scoring for Tripura in an innings that saw Laishram Bigyapati (2/13 in 4 overs), Waikhom Suchitra (2/23 in 4 overs) and Laitonjam Benita (1/16 in 4 overs) finding their names among the wicket takers for Manipur.
In reply, Manipur had a stuttering start and kept losing wickets in quick succession despite Farhana's 19-ball 19 and fell flat at 49 in 17.5 overs.
For Tripura, Ankita Patari (2/5 in 3.5 overs) inflicted early damage before Purba Chowdhury picked three wickets (3/7 in 4 overs) to seal the huge win.
Meanwhile, Assam beat Sikkim by 6 wickets in another semi-final clash to set up the final date with Tripura.
