X-Polo riders crowned champs of IE Polo tourney

Imphal, January 19 2022: Leishemba hammered a hat-trick as X-Polo Club pulled off a 5-3 triumph over Chingkheihunba Polo Club-A to win the 2nd Imphal East District Polo Tournament on Wednesday at Ningthounai Kangjeibung Lampak, Yairipok Top Chingtha.

The X-Polo riders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening chukker after both P Ojit and Leishemba were on target.

In the second chukker, Leishemba scored his second goal for X-Polo while the Chingkheihunba squad reduced the deficit with two goals through Mohindro and Thomson.

X -Polo found their fourth goal in the third period courtesy of a strike by Jacob.

In the fourth chukker, both teams collected a goal each as Leishemba completed his hat-trick while Rozer scored for Chingkheihunba Polo Club.

Leishemba's third goal propelled X-Polo Club to a 5-3 victory for their memorable title.
