Imphal, September 18 2015 : ESU, Wangkhei downed PYA, Kairang by a margin of two goals to one in the ongoing Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Imphal East super league today at SWC Khongman ground.

Soreingam of ESU opened their account in the 11th minute.

The Kairang side attempt to equalise the score-line went futile till the end of the first half.

PYA, Kairang side equalised the score-line in the 73rd minute through a goal from Sana Shah.

However, losing no time, the ESU side banged in another goal in the 76th minute through Thinaoton.

Md Habita of PYA, Kairang; Palmishang and Challen of ESU were cautioned during the match.

In the second match, NIVSO, Keibi registered a convincing 3-1 win against Citizens' Club, Soibam Leikai.

Nongthingmang's double braces (10th and 44th) helped NIVSO an easy win.

Another goal for NIVSO was added by Ak Keiminglung in the 61st minute.

A goal by N Narendra of Citizens' Club in the 78th minute reduced the margin to 3-1.W Premchandra of NIVSO was cautioned in the 14th minute.

Yesterday, KIYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal and ABA, Kshetrigao were held in a 1-1 draw.

Th Jamminthang scored for KIYC while N Binodkhana scored for ABA.

In the second match of the same day, XI Star SU, Akampat blanked UPAA, Kiyamgei by a margin of 1 goal to nil.

The winning goal was scored by Th Thoi in the 41st minute.

Imphal East 1st Div: SSC, Sekta and NEROCA, Sangakpham registered wins against their opponents today in the ongoing Moirangthem Ibobi Memorial 1st Division tournament.

In the first match today, SSC, Sekta drubbed TYWO, Takhel by a margin of two goals to nil.

The winning goals for the Sekta side came through H Dhanabir and Ph Shitanjit in the 23rd and 65th minute respectively.

In the second match, UPSA, Pukhao suffered a 0-2 defeat in the hands of NEROCA, Sangakpham.

Th James (7th) and H Boy (61st) sealed the winning goals for NEROCA.
