Friendly matches organised, sports kits distributed

Imphal, July 18 2022: Modi Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR(S) organised friendly volleyball and cricket matches with Perington Youth Sports Club, Tengnoupal district and WISECRAB Youth Club of Chandel district respectively on Sunday.

Informing that the matches were organised as part of 'Fit India Movement' in order to emphasise importance of health and fitness among the local youth and student body of both the districts, a PRO IGAR (S) release said that youth and students participated with full enthusiasm.

After the matches, distribution of sports equipment was organised for the civil populace followed by interaction with local youth to hold discussion on issues related to development, security and education.

Meanwhile, Keithelmanbi Battalion distributed volleyball to Decent Club, Senapati Sabal village in Nambol, Bishnupur district on Monday to reach out to the populace and motivate the youth to join 'Khelo India' Movement.
