Imphal, December 17 2013: Duigaipangjang registered a big win by defeating rival team Namthanlong by 8-2 goals in the first match of the ongoing 1st Palmeipui Kamaopi Memorial Zeliangrong 6 A-Side Football Tournament 2013 played at Sawombung Sairem Play Ground in Imphal East today.

The tournament is being organized by Sawombung Sairem Youth Club under the sponsorship of Palmei Angousana Kabui, president, SSYC.

Makulong of the Duigaipangjang opened the score account for his team by scoring a goal in the first 3rd minute of the match.

Later, he repeatedly the feat by adding another goal in the 9th minute.

Team mate Benjamin contributed one goal in the 5th minute.

Team mate Boto turned out to be the only one who came up with a hat trick during the match by scoring 3 goals in the 6th, 8th and 10th minute of the match.

Continuing the scoring spree, Meijinlong added 2 more to make 8 goals in the 13th and 15th minute of the match.

From the side of Namthanlong, the two face saving goals came from Benjamin and Thengai in the 24th and 34th minute of the match.

In another match, Chongkhutourong lost to scoring machines of Namguilong by 10-1 goals.

After G.Golmei of Namguilong open the goal account the 13th minute, team mate Christopher fetched 5 goals one after other.

Willaim, Gaibuilung and Poulinmei also added added one each goal in the 18th, 25th 32nd and 37th minute of the match.

In the third ground, Khoupum defeated Heikrujam by 3-0 goals.

Of the three winning goals, Chungmei of Khoupum scored two in the 7th and 39th minute and the third goal came from Akham in the 35th minute.

In the fourth ground, Sairem and Sawombung Namdai had a fierce battle.

But Sairem emerged better of the two teams and defeated Sawombung by a solitary goal.
