Loktak Trophy: SSU triumph over ZOMI FC

Imphal, January 17 2014 : SSU Singjameidevastated ZOMI FC in sudden death in the second semi final match of 7th Loktak Trophy 2013 at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Ground today.

First goal of the match was scored by Zolthang of ZOMI FC in the 8th minute and it was later equalized by Sachidananda of SSU in the 75th minute.

After 1-1 tie till the end of the match, five players from each team were given chance for penalty shootout.

All the five players from both the teams scored 1 goal each.

So, four players from each team were given a chance to kick another penalty shootout.

This time, four players of SSU collected all the 4 goals while ZOMI FC could fetch only 3 goals.

Thus, SSU won the match.

TRAU and SSU would meet in the final match of the tourney on 19th January, 2014 .
