Senapati District volleyball tournament kicks off

Senapati, July 16 2024: Assam Rifles inaugurated the District Level Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday in Senapati district, marking the beginning of exciting matches till July 20, 2024 .

13 teams are competing in the tournament at Maram Garrison and Senapati.

The event underscores Assam Rifles' ongoing commitment to promoting sports and fostering community spirit in the region.

In 2024, the Assam Rifles has successfully organised district level tournaments of cricket, basketball for men and women and volleyball for women in addition to the prestigious Robert Cup Football Tournament in Senapati district.

These events have been instrumental in encouraging youth's participation in sports and providing a platform for local talents to shine.

Over the next five days, volleyball teams from across the district will showcase their skills and compete for the championship title.

The matches promise to be a display of talent, teamwork and sportsmanship bringing together players and spectators in the spirit of healthy competitions.

This initiative aims to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and the local community while promoting unity and discipline among the youth through sports.
