Kangpokpi, January 15 2022: Two brilliant strikes by Sasang gave Phungtin Veng Ward No 15 their first win over Moltinchan Veng Ward No 12 in the ongoing 18th Kangpokpi Inter Ward Tournament 2022 at Brig M Thomas Kangpokpi today.

It were Moltinchan Veng, who found the opening as early as 6th minute through Thanggin Touthang goal from 25 yards before Sasang found the equalizer in the 14th minute and added another in the 67th minute in the fascinating second half to overturn the lead.

Despite multiple goal mouth chances, Moltinchan forward failed to equalize till the last minute.

In the second match, Ngambom Veng, Ward No 8 earned their second win in the tournament after an easy 2-0 win over Jonlhing Veng Ward No 2 courtesy strikes by Seibem and Manggou.

With two wins, Ngambom Veng have climbed atop pool B in main football.

There will be no match tomorrow being Sunday.
