43rd State Masters Athletic Meet concludes

Imphal, October 13 2024: Hammer throw, discus throw, 200m race and high jump events wrapped up the 43rd State Level Manipur Masters Athletic Meet 2024.In the women's hammer throw, Th Kunjarani, A Mangolnganbi, Naoroibam Subadani and M Asharani walked away with gold medals in their respective categories.

On the other hand, Md Ayub Khan, Md Firoz Khan and Ksh Premchand emerged as top finishers in the men's hammer throw event.

The men's discus throw event saw Md Hafijuddin, Kabir Hussain, Rk Boby, L Robindro, Md Ayub Khan, A Surchandra, S Noren, Md Amamuddin and K Ibohal claim gold medals in different weight groups.

Meanwhile, the gold medallists in the women's 200m race in different categories were L Uma, N Sanatombi, L Jiteshwori, L Sobhabati, H Padama and N Ibethoi.

Also in women's high jump, Rk Latasana, W Dashumati, M Geeta and Rk Sanahanbi all secured top podium honours, while Md Yahiya Khan, Md Wahidur Rahman, L Gopeshwor, Ayuk Khan, L Ito and K Ibohal were the gold winners in the men's event.

The successful athletes in the two-day competition will represent Manipur at the 6th National Masters Athletics Championship 2025, scheduled from January 31 to February 8 in Thrissur, Kerala.
