MNCA Men's U-23: BLUE HAWK, TRAU claim easy victories

BLUE HAWK and TRAU made light work of their respective opponents in the 2nd MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 on Thursday.
BLUE HAWK overpowered THAU by 129 runs.
Winning the toss, THAU opted to field first, but BLUE HAWK's batsmen had other plans.
Nandakishor led the charge with a solid 54 off 62 balls, while Wangmayum Farid smashed a quickfire 52 off just 32 deliveries, propelling BLUE HAWK to a formidable total of 173/6 in 23 overs.
In response, THAU's batting lineup crumbled under pressure, managing only 44 runs before being bowled out in 12 overs.
BLUE HAWK's bowlers were in top form, with Moirangthem Romesh Singh being the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for just 1 run in 2 overs.
Dp Saheer and Hdiamond also contributed significantly, taking 3 wickets each.
In the other match, TRAU dominated FORCE by 103 runs.
TRAU posted a mammoth total of 287/3 in 35 overs after opting to bat first.
Huiningshumbam Luching was the star of the innings, scoring an unbeaten 107 off 112 balls, supported by Sanjembam Somokanta Khuman, who contributed a brisk 76 off 66 deliveries.
FORCE, in their chase, struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 184 in 29.5 overs.
Mutum Swabhiman was the pick of the bowlers for TRAU, taking 5 wickets for 41 runs, while Sanjembam Somokanta Khuman chipped in with 3 wickets.
