Pencak Silat team to leave Imphal today

Imphal, August 12 2019: Pencak Silat Association of Manipur has announced the boys and girls and officials who will be representing Manipur at the Junior National Championship which will be held at Amritsar, Punjab from August 18 to 21 .

The team will leave Imphal tomorrow.

As per a statement issued by the association, the players selected for the participation at the Nationals are Class A : Soibam Thoiba (34 kg), Chingtham Jelin Singh (40 kg), Angom Jenish (41 kg), S Jona Chanu (41 kg); Class B : Sapam Rabikanta (45 kg), Ngangom Sanjit Meitei (45 kg); Class C : Thounaojam Rita Devi (48 kg), S Chingkheinganba Singh (47 to 51 kg); Class D : W Sunisethi Meitei (54 kg); Clash E : Shamjetshabam Romananda (58 kg), W Santosh Meitei (55-59 kg); Class F : Thongbam Anjali (60 kg), S Robinson Meitei (62 kg) and Class G : Soibam Manglem (64 kg) .

S Jona and S Robinson Meitei will also be representing the State in the Seni Tunggal event while S Chinkheinganba and W Sunilsethi will also be taking part in the Ganda Artistic double category.

L Ranjit Singh will be the team manager as per the statement while N Robinchandra and Ch Joykumar will be the team coach and assistant coach for male athletes.

Ng Nanao and N Boynao will be coach and assistant coach for female athletes respectively.
