MCK, LASHAL triumph in H Pishak Memorial 1st Divn League

Imphal, October 11 2019: MCK, Kabo Wakching earned their second Group B league win today beating OSA, Oinam by 1-0 margin while LASHAL, Leimapokpam sealed a 3-1 comeback win against GDC, Thinungei in a Group A league match at Mini Stadium Bishnupur in the 6th H Pishak Devi Memorial First Division Football League Tournament being organised by District Sports Association Bishnupur.

In the first match of the day, LASHAL, Leimapokpam which trailed by 0-1 to GDC made an impressive comeback riding in H Jotin double and sealed a 3-1 victory.

L Ronaldo helped GDC take the first half lead with his strike in the 30th minute but O Arun came to LASHAL's rescue by equalising the margin in the 46th minute.

LASHAL's second half momentum grew even stronger when H Jotin overturned the lead in the 57th minute before extending the lead to 3-1 in the 62nd minute with another clinical finish.

LASHAL eventually won the game 3-1 and earned their first group stage win as GDC failed to made their comeback despite numerous chances in the latter part of the game.

Meanwhile in the Group B fixture of the day, MCK earned their second win of the tournament thanks to Ng Amarjit's lone goal in the 50th minute of the match after MCK and OSA witnessed a barren first half.

LFC, Ngaikhong Khunou will meet BFA in the next Group A league match tomorrow at 12.30 pm .
