Imphal, July 08 2022: Hiyai (A), YOSC, Golden FA and Endeavor SS booked semifinals berths of the 1st Basanta Kumar Memorial 5-a-side Football Tournament 2022, following their quarterfinal triumphs on Friday.

Hiyai (A) earned an easy passage to the semifinals with a 6-0 drubbing of Nganba FC (A) .

A double from Deepak and one goal each from Somendro, Luxmikanta, Musha and Aditya gave their team an emphatic win en route to the final four.

YOSC, meanwhile, beat Poloi SS in a penalty shootout to reach the semifinals.

After a 3-3 stalemate, the game went into spot kicks where YOSC prevailed 3-2 courtesy of successful attempts by Sakip, Sohail and Punshiba.

Golden FA enjoyed an 8-1 thrashing of Nganba FC (B) on their way to the final four.

Ritish, Sanatomba and David each netted hat-trick, with Gairangmei and Golden chipping in with one goal apiece for their side.

The fourth quarterfinal match saw Endeavor SS romp to a 6-1 win over ESU.

K Chetan shone for the winning side with a hat-trick, L Mamesh scored a brace and N Tomthin contributed one goal.
