Al-Ameen beat SCCC by 11 runs in 6th MNCA Elite tournament

Imphal, June 08 2022: Al-Ameen (Lilong) defeated SCCC (Singjamei) by 11 runs in Wednesday's action of the 6th MNCA W Prahlada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.

Electing to bat, Al-Ameen were all out for 115 in 31.5 overs as Md Al Bashid (21), Boboicha Thokchom (20), Md Kabir Ahmed (13 not out), Nawaz (13) and Mustaque Mohammed (13) were the batters who got into double digits in the innings.

The Lilong side lost three each of their wickets to Pinkey Sanasam and Adbul Kasim, two to Basant and one to Rakeshwor Republic Hidangmayum.

Chasing a low target of 116, SCCC's top order collapsed in 47 overs making only 26 runs as the remaining batters failed to perform under pressure and the team was soon bundled out for 104 in 27 overs.

Basant (18), Rohit Moirangthem (15), Phijam Langamba Meitei (13) and Pinkey Sanasam (10) were the main run-getters in Singjamei side's dismal run chase.

Najarul Islam, who was named the man of the match, scalped four wickets while Md Basir Rahman and Habibullah Ahammed took three wickets to help Al-Ameen emerge the victors in the low-scoring match.

Blue Hawk play WYC (W) on Thursday.
