Imphal, April 08 2024: Yaipha Lamjing Kanglup (YLK), Chingarel were crowned sub-junior boys' and girls' champions of the 45th State Level Handball Championship 2024 organised by Manipur Handball Association (MHA) at YLK ground, Chingarel Tejpur.

In the finals on Monday, YLK edged out OYO, Kongpal 19-14 to clinch the sub-junior boys' title riding on goals from S Keiku (9), N Adison (5), Kh Jupiter (3) and one each from K Chingkheinganba and N Albert, while Ksh Yaithoiba (6), Ksh Premchandra (3), Ksh Krinibash (2), Ksh Albish (2) and Ksh Geetchandra (1) were the scorers for OYO.

In a repeat of the boys' match, YLK trounced OYO, Kongpal 13-1 in the sub-junior girls' final.

The YLK goals were netted in by L Nomika (6), N Selina (3), N Pitalika (2) and N Lavid (2) as RK Neelamjayshree netted the OYO face saver.
