J Songtun 11th Ward Wise Tournament ends in style

The 11th Ward Wise Tournament of Jamsat Songtun village in Kangpokpi District concluded in style with an engrossing friendly match between J Songtun veteran and GUDUP, a popular WhatsApp group.
The annual ward wise tournament which began on January 3 was organized by Jamsat Songtun Youth Club.
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing graced the closing ceremony as chief guest while KSO, Sadar Hills president attended as guest of honour.
Football (men) and volleyball (women) were the major sports item conducted during the three days long tournament.

After inspection of players, the final match between Ward No 5 (Molhoi Veng) and Ward No 2(Canaan Veng) was kicked off at J Songtun playground with cheers from fans of the respective finalist ward.
Ward No 5 (Molhoi Veng) won the Champion trophy after defeating Ward No 2 (Canaan Veng) 4-3 via tie break after a goalless draw during the regulation time.
The champions were awarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 10,000 while runners up bagged a cash prize of Rs 5,000 .
Ward No 4(Nazareth Veng) defeated Ward No 5 (Molhoi Veng) in the final match of the volleyball competition to lift the winners trophy.
The winners were also awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and the runners up, Molhoi Veng recieved a shield with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 .
In women volleyball final for senior category, Ward No 2 (Canaan Veng) emerged champions by beating Ward No 1 (Sharon Veng).
They were awarded the same prize.
Jangkhosei of Ward No 3 (Bethel Veng) was declared promising player.
After the final match, an enthralling friendly match between J Songtun veteran and GUDUP was played with a bet of Goat worth Rs 10,000 .
GUDUP emerged victorious in the match and take away the winner's prize, goat which was later donated to a poor Nepali farmer in the area.
Players of GUDUP imitate the sound of Goat while taking group photo after the match which entertained the huge crowd enjoying the match.
