NCA, IBSA record emphatic wins in MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 07 2024:
NCA and IBSA notch up emphatic victories, while YWC and PCC also triumphed in the 9th MNCA Plate Tournament league round matches on Saturday.
NCA hammered KIYC by 115 runs in their encounter at Lairenjam Public Ground.
Opting to bat first, NCA were bowled out for 194 in 31.5 overs.
Angom Robinhood led the charge with a top score of 57, supported by valuable contributions from Chourjeet Rk (25 not out), Amarjeet Singh Rajkumar (22), Bobby Yumnam (20), Pradeep Singh Takhellambam (16), and Rk Rojeeson (13) .
Mohammad Abdulla Khan was the standout performer for KIYC, claiming five wickets.
In reply, KIYC struggled under pressure and were dismissed for just 79 in 16.2 overs.
Amarjeet Rajkumar proved to be the match-win-ner for NCA, taking five wickets in a devastating 7-over spell.
Chourjeet Rk and L Sadananda each claimed two wickets, while Angom Robinhood added one.
In the run chase, Pikeshor Pheiroijam (31) and Aneesh Ahmed (15) were the only notable contributors for KIYC.
Meanwhile, IBSA recorded an impressive 86-run victory over THAU at the Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur.
IBSA, invited to bat, posted a competitive 197/7 in 30 overs.
Nelson Keithellakpam was the top scorer with 79, followed by Nandakumar (42), Yengkhom Bhomendro (26), Khundrakpam Lemba (10), Azmad Kh (10), and Pravesh (6 not out) .
Rajkumar Thapa took two wickets for THAU, while Khundrakpam Aden, Daniand Ningthoujam, Khumukcham Romesh, and Hanjabam Joy-kishan Sharma each claimed one.
In their bowling effort, IBSA's disciplined attack saw THAU bowled out for 111 in 25.1 overs.
James Awang was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets, while Mk Tamim, Yengkhom Bhomendro, Boney Potshangbam, and Nelson Keithellakpam each took one wicket.
Despite a determined effort from Hanjabam Diamond (29), Pukhrambam Hilbert (21), and Hanjabam Joykishan (19), THAU fell short in their chase.
YWC emerged victorious by 24 runs against AKSDO at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
YWC elected to bat and posted a total of 181/9 in 28 overs.
Ngangbam Bish-wash was the top scorer with 58, supported by Ngangbam Bikramjit (46), Maibam Subash (11), and Jiko Sorokhaibam (10) .
Akash Laishram was the main wicket-taker for AKSDO with four scalps.
In response, AKSDO were dismissed for 157 in 28 overs, with Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei's unbeaten 52 proving to be in vain.
Pukhrambam Prashantamani was the standout bowler for YWC, taking four wickets.
Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba added three wickets, while Jiko Sorokhaibam claimed one in their victory.
PCC secured a narrow 15-run win over BLUE HAWK at Model Hr Secondary & Oriental College Ground.
