Basketball: YOSC, RKSDV to meet in girls' final as YOSC, Model Club reach boys' semis

Imphal, September 04 2024: YOSC and RK San-atombi Devi Vidyalaya will face off in the girls' final, while YOSC and Model Club prevailed on Wednesday to complete the boys' semifinal lineup in the 37th Sub-Junior State Basketball Championship.

The YOSC girls booked their place in the final with a decisive 39-16 victory over Catholic School.

YOSC will now face RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya on September 6 for the championship crown in the girls' competition.

In the boys' event, Model Club and YOSC both earned a smooth passage to the semifinals.

Model Club thumped ESU 54-14 on their way to the last four.

They started off with a 14-0 lead and continued their dominance with an identical 14-4 score both the second and third quarters.

The Model boys then closed out the game with a 12-6 result in the final period.

YOSC, on the other hand, cruised to a 53-18 win over LMYVA to join Model in the semifinals.

YOSC's scoring breakdown saw 11-8 in the first quarter, 14-4 in the second, 26-2 in the third and 2-4, leading to their commanding triumph.

In the boys' semifinals, Model Club will be up against ESU while YOSC will take on Sainik school on September 6, 2024 .
