Victories for NEYO, BSU in Lamlai Cup

Imphal, May 02 2016: NEYO, Sanjenbam and BSU, Nongpok Kakching advanced in the ongoing 2nd Lamlai Kendra Village Wise Men's Open 7-A-Side Football Tournament, organised by FC Lamlai, today at LSIC play ground, Lamlai.

In the first match today, NEYO, Sanjenbam outclassed STPP-B, Sekta by a margin of 6 goals to nil.

The winning goals of NEYO were scored by Clinton (3rd and 28th minute), Suranjit (12th minute), Sanajaoba (22nd minute), Abungcha (32nd minute) and Bobothoi in the 40th minute.

Clinton of NEYO and Henba of STPP-B were cautioned for unsporting behavipur during the match.

In another match, Herojit's double in the 18th and 36th minute helped BSU, Nongpok Kakching overcome ESU, Tellou by a margin of 2 goals to one.

The lone goal of ESU was scored by Sunil in the 7th minute.

Yesterday, NSA, Nongren crushed BSF, Lamlai Post by a margin of 3 goals to nil.

Strikes from Krishnakanta, Rebanta and Shankar in the 24th, 40th and 42nd minute, respectively gave the three winning goals to NSA.

Shankar of NSA and Rawat of BSF were yellow carded for unsporting behaviour during the match.

In the second match, YDCL, Pungdongbam and KKYWC, Kanguching played a 1-1 draw.

Premchandra scored for KKYWC in the 10th minute while Watson found the equaliser for YDCL in the 51st minute.
