PCC post 35 run victory over PSC

Imphal, April 02 2018: Today's Group C league match of the 4th MCA Plate Tournament 2018 being organised by Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground witnessed PCC, Mayaikoibi pull off'a 35 run victory over PSC Khuyathong.

PCC who won the toss and elected to bat first piled up a total of 180 runs for 9 in 35 overs.

The target may have crossed further if the bowlers of PSC had not worked hard to break the partnerships in time and prevented from building up momentum.

Vidyasagar made a significant 55 runs took 85 balls while Rohit and Gibson partnered for a while to score 26 runs off 36 balls and 27 runs off 27 balls respectively.

Ajay Patel also contributed 21 runs in 26 balls in this innings.

PSC's Kala and Rakesh led the bowling side, both enjoying 3 three hauls in 7 overs each while Prasantjit fetched 2 wickets in 6 overs.

Sourabh also picked up a single in this innings.

The chase even got worst as PSC bundled out scoring 137 runs in 30.4 overs.

Vicky made a slow start making 50 runs off 91 balls while Prasantajit made 18 runs off 22 balls.

The other batsmen had to go down in quick succession leaving PSC with no choice but to concede by 35 runs.

Man of the match, Vidyasagar took 2 wickets in 5 overs while Ajay Patel also claimed 2 wickets in 6 overs.

Jobanta and Santosh also dismissed one wicket each in this innings.

UCC, Uripok will meet IBSA, Yumnam Leikai in a Group D league match.
