3-Day National Seminar on the Topic "New Challenges of Physical Education ends

The 3-Day National Seminar on the Topic "New Challenges of Physical Education and Sports Science in the 21st Century" organised by the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science, Manipur University in collaboration with National Association of Physical Eduaction & Sports Science (NAPESS) from October 29 at Manipur University concluded on Saturday.
The Seminar opened with the key-note address by Prof Alok Banerjee, Former VC, Kalyani University & Renown Physical Educationist and with Papers presented by 10 Resource Persons namely Prof B Basumataray, LNIPE; Prof Ikram Hussian, AMU; Prof Ashok Biswas, JU; Prof Samiran Mandal, Biswa Bharati; Prof Sundar Raj Urs, Secretary, NAPESS; Prof P Johnson, Dwarka University; Dr Buhril, LNCPE, Kerala; Dr L Saratchandra, YAS; Dr L Djbamani Singh, Assam University and Dr K Romiyo Singh, YAS, AP.
On the second day, there were 12 Scientic Sessions where 120 papers were read by 120 delegates.
However, the concluding day had 6 Scientic Sessions followed by the valedictory function at 11 am at the Dr Kamal Indoor Stadium of the University.
The valedictory function was graced by Prof W Nabakumar Singh, Director, Myanmar Studies as the Chief Guest; Dr T Inaobi Singh, HOD, PESS, MU as the President and Prof P Chinnappa Reddy, President, NAPESS and Prof Sundar Raj Urs, Secretary, NAPESS as the Guests of Honour.
The organisers have expressed gratitude to all who had contributed to the success of the 3-Day seminar.
