IMA FA edge MIUFC 2-1 in IW 3rd Divn Football League opener

Imphal, December 27 2024: IMA FA, Wangoi edged past MIUFC, Mayang Imphal by 2-1 goals in the opening match (Group A) of the 6th Sh Mani Sharma Memorial 3rd Division Football League 2024-25 organised by the Imphal West District Football Association.

Ch Kipgen earned MIUFC a 1-0 lead after 37 minutes but IMA FA drew level in the 50th minute through Irfan before Rohit overturned the lead in the 59th minute.

The two sides kept looking for more goals but the defence line on both ends did well to deny any alteration in the scoreline.

Later in the second Group A match, NBCA, Takyel Khongbal beat KKYU, Keishamthong by a slender 1-0 margin.

The lone goal that settled the game was scored by Shrinivash in the 62nd minute.
