57th CC Meet: SSU, AIM delight with big win

Imphal, December 24, 2013: SSU Singjamei severely trounced UUFC Ukhrul by 10-2 goals in first match of the ongoing final round of the 57th Sir Churachand Singh, KCSI, CBE, Memorial Football Tournament 2013 played at Mapal Kangjeibung here today.

The first goal of the match was scored in the 19th minute by Md.Imran Khan of SSU.

Since then, the scoring machines of SSU went on adding one goal after the other.

Oken fetched the second goal of his team in the 27th minute and it was followed by Md.Riyas Khan in the 29th minute.

L Gogocha alone scored 5 goals in the 32nd, 36, 50th, 67 and 71st minute of the match.

Md.Sahidur also contributed 2 goals in the 44th and 66th minute of the match to the score tally of SSU.

Inspite of losing the match to SSU, Khangatartung and Helpson Varah of UUFC managed to score one goal each to save the prestige of the team in the 59th and 61st minute of the match respectively.

In another match played in the second ground, AIM Khabam defeated NACO Nambul Mapal by 3-0 goals.

Th.Roshan of AIM contributed 2 goals in the 41st and 76th minute.

The third goal was scored by Rajesh Meitei in the 70th minute of the match.
