Imphal, February 22 2018: CHAMP, Khagempalli today outclassed TRAU, Kwakeithel by a huge 103 runs in a Group B league match of the ongoing 4th MCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2018 organised under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

CHAMP who won the toss enjoyed a great day as Sunil Chauhan stacked up an impressive 95 runs off 66 balls alone and helped in posting 223 for 9 in 40 overs.

Jotish of TRAU who picked 3 wickets was not able to contain the strike of CHAMP's batsmen.

Sultan and Bonny scored 28 runs each in this inning while Langlonyamba and Arpit Rao added another 33 runs.

Proyojit of TRAU claimed two wickets in this inning while Rai Singh and Saroj took one wicket each.

In response TRAU went down midway registering 120 for the loss of all wickets in 29 overs.

Saroj with 36 runs off 72 balls was the highest scorer while Rai Singh and Pandey scored 23 runs and 10 runs in the chase.

Sultan enjoyed a three wicket haul in the second inning while Thomas and Kabir claimed 2 crucial wickets each.

Kazim also picked one wicket in this inning.

Sunil Chauhan was adjudged man of the man.

BLUE HAWK, Khurai will meet YWC, Langthabal in a Group A league match tomorrow at the same venue.
