KPC will vie with MP-A in men's & DPSLA will clash IRC in women's final

Khurai Polo Club (KPC) and Manipur Police-A (MP) will lock horns for the 25th Governors Cup Invitational Polo Tournament while District Pana Sagol Kangjei Association (DPSLA) Keirak will clash with Imphal Riding Club (IRC) in 14th Governor's Cup Women Polo Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung on March 22 .
In the first semi final, MP-A override Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club (CHPC) by 11-4 score.
Manipur Police came out to prove a point and pumped in 4 goals through S Bimol and defended well to take control of the match by 4-0 in the first chukker.
The second chukker was a close fight between the teams for the possession of the match.
Yet, the chukker was ended Police favours again when L Jawan added 2 goals while S Bimol and S Abungcha contributed 1 goal each while CHPC pulled back 2 goals through L Atangba.
At the end of the breather MP-A were in advantage with 8-2 score line.

The third chukker was no different when S Abungcha scored 2 goals for Police while L Atangba added 1 for Chingkhei Hunba.
By the end of the penultimate chukker MP-A was comfortably placed at 10-3 .
Except for some extraordinary performance from CHPC there was no chance for CHPC staying in the tournament and any such possibility was thwarted by the Police players.
The final chukker rather ended in even term with both the teams scoring 1 goal each through S Abuncha, MP and L Kokeshwor, CHPC.
When the final whilst was blown MP-A walked away with the match and marched into the final.
In the other semi final match, Khurai Polo Club (KPC) defeated Ibudhou Thangjing Polo Club (ITPC) by 6-2 and stormed into the final.
P Jotin of KPC initiated the march to the final with a fine score in the first chukker.
KPC hope was given another impetus when P Roshan added 2 goals to the team score in second chukker.
The process was completed when P Jotin scored 1 goal each in the third and fourth chukker.
While ITPCs goals were scored by M Manihar and M Dolen.
The last match of the day was between Imphal Riding Club (IRC) and Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club (CHPC) for place in the women's final where IRC thrash CHPC by 13-1 score.
Kh Habe scored the first goal for IRC.
The pace of scoring picked up in second chukker when Kh Habe added 2 goals and S Langlen scored 1 goal.
The third chukker was a similar affair when S Langlen again added 2 goals and Romabati join the party with 1 goal.
The thrashing was completed when A Romabati blasted 4 goals while S Langlen and Th Habe added 1 goal to the team score.
To IRC 13 CHPC scored 1 goal through Rk Nilu to give some respectability to the score line but could not prevent IRC from booking a place in the final.
