AMFA lifts ban on trial/talent hunt

Imphal, February 18 2025: The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has lifted ban imposed on conducting trial or talent hunt programme to scout local players by other States (academies/ clubs) in Manipur.

The ban was imposed last year in March following an executive council meeting.

Informing the development, AMFA in a memorandum maintained that willing academy or club should submit an application for obtaining permission regarding the trial/talent hunt 20 days ahead of the event schedule to the association via email : [email protected].

The organiser should submit the application directly to the provided email address of AMFA and no application through any agent will not be allowed, it said.

Further, the organiser should not contact any coach or agent regarding the trial, it said while informing that the technical committee of AMFA will arrange coaches for trial and talent hunt.

AMFA will cancel permission for trial/talent hunt without any notification if the organiser violates the terms and conditions, it added.
