MU Inter University Thang-Ta: Hosts Ng Mani College emerge men and women's champions

Imphal, December 15 2024: Hosts Ng Mani College were crowned both the men and women's champions in the Rajkumar Sanahal Memorial Inter College Thang-Ta Competition 2024-25 organised under the auspices of Manipur University Sports Committee.

Ng Mani College, Khurai Chairenthong registered 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals to finish atop the men's competition as Manipur University secured 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal each to finish runners up.

The women's team of the hosts meanwhile gathered 2 gold medals to seal the top honour as Waikhom Mani Girls' College and Saraswati College, Pangei finished joint runners up teams.

As many as 29 athletes from 8 different institutes affiliated to Manipur University took part in the one-day event.

The opening ceremony was graced by Dr Ch Pradeep Singh, Assistant Director of Sports, Manipur; RK Dilip Singh, donor of the competition among others.

Huidrom Premkumar Singh, president of the World Thang-Ta Federation was also present at the event, said the organising committee in a statement.
