Bindeshori appointed KIO Women Sports Commission chairman

Imphal, January 15 2022:
Soibam Bindeshori Chanu has been appointed as the chairman of the Women Sports Commission of Karate India Organisation (KIO) .
She was a member of the said commission earlier, said a statement issued by Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association.

The association also expressed gratitude to the mentor of the Karate India Organisation, Hanshi Bharat Sharma who is a Technical Commission Member of the World Karate Federation for considering for the post besides KIO president, Kyoshi Vijay Tiwari; general secretary, Kyoshi Sanjeev Kumar Jangra and treasurer, Kyoshi Mutum Bankim Singh.
It may be noted that Soibam Bindeshori is the first female international karate judge from North East India, first Indian woman to pass dual Kata-Kumite certified course.
She is also a 6th Dan holder of the World Karate Federation and also a referee commission member of Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association and KIO North East Zone Referee Commission (Women) .
