Opening ceremony of Chandel football tourneys held

Imphal, October 14 2024: The opening ceremony of ADC Chandel & DC Chandel Super, First & Second Division Football Tournament 2024 organised by District Sports Association (DSA), Chandel was held at Ziontlang village ground on Monday with All Manipur Football Association (AMEA) acting-president DB Kowar Lamkang as special guest.

The ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division Football League 2024 starting from Tuesday is being participated by Chandel Khullen YC, United Chandel FC, Kapaam DC, Lambung YCC, Chumbang FC and Hnahringkhu YC while the DC Chandel Trophy First Division Football Tournament 2024 commencing from October 16 will have Anal Khunou YC, Khongjon YC, Cheengkhu YC and Ziontlang YDC in pool-A and Japhou YC, Liwa Khullen YC and SASA in pool-B vying for the top honours.

Meanwhile, DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament 2024 starting from October 17 will see Betuk YC, Modi CSC, Lamphou Pasna YC, Japhou Bazar YC, Damjol YC, Menkang YC, Panchai SCC, Angkhelchayang YC, Mahamani YC and Heibunglok YCC slug out in pool-A, while Chandel Christian YC, Chandonpokpi YC, Liwa Sa-rei YC, Purum Tampak SC, Penaching YDC, Monsang Pantha YCC, Chakpikarong YC, Soltang FC, Khoriibung YC and Morning Star YC are clustered in pool-B.Among others, the opening ceremony was attended by DSA, Chandel president TS Chamna Anal and vice president HL Lovingson Anal, and Chothe Baptist Churches' Association reverend Dr Hranum Khiang.
