MU names teams for AU India Inter University Wushu Tournament

Imphal, December 13 2024: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced the names of the players shortlisted to represent the university at the All India Inter University Wushu Tournament for Men and Women due to be hosted by Chandigarh University, Mohali, from February 14 to 20.The players who made it to the university team are as follows.

Men's Sanda: Kh Jeniboy of Manipur College (48 kg), N Restafen of KMC (52 kg), A James of Kakching Khunou College (56 kg), Naresh Nongmaithem of Kumbi College (60 kg), H Sanayaima of Kumbi College (65 kg), S Hitler of NB College (70 kg), Rakesh Atom of BMC (75 kg), Md Rahish of Lilong Haoreibi College (80 kg), Salim Khumukcham of BMC (85 kg), Ajit Tongbram of Imphal College (90 kg) and Sanathoi Moirangthem of KMC (+90 kg) .

Men's Taolu: Bonish Yurembam of Regional College, Ch Dinesh of Biramangol College, W Bhumeshwor of Biramangol College, Kh Kaiku of Kakching Khunou College, Sohan Yumnam of Manipur University, Kh Samir Khan of Lilong Haoreibi College, Paikhomba Akoijam of Manipur College and Shitaljit Atom of Regional College.

Women's Sanda: M Mariyam of Moirang College (45 kg), Kh Chaoba of Kakching Khunou College (48 kg), B Tamphasana Devi of Kumbi College (52 kg), H Chaoba Devi of BMC (56 kg).

Th Dolly Devi of Kakching Khunou College (65 kg), T Kabita of CI College (70 kg) and E Italy of Kakching Khunou College (75 kg) .

Women's Taolu: Th Sandeshwori of SSGG College, W Silvia of SSGG College, Y Shina of SSGG College, M Albina of SSGG College, Tomthinnganbi Haobijam of TS Paul Manipur Women's College, Olica Naorem of BMC and H Dayani of MU.

The selected players were further instructed to report at Dr Kamal Indoor Hall, MU on December 18 by 11 am with full kits for further details, coaching and other informations, said the Assistant Director of Sports, MU in an office order.
