State volleyball: AMIMYDO, YPC to meet in sub-junior boys' final

Imphal, October 13 2024: AMIMYDO and YPC will face off in the sub-junior boys' final at the State Volleyball Tournament 2024, following their semifinal victories on Sunday.

AMIMYDO easily dispatched NYVA with a clear 25-20, 25-20, 25-14 victory on their way to the final.

YPC, on the other hand, encountered a tough challenge from YGC, prevailing in a gruelling five-set match to set up a showdown with AMIMYDO for the title.

YPC initially dominated, claiming the first two sets 25-14 and 25-23 respectively.

However, YGC fought back to level the match by winning the next two sets with identical 25-23 scores.

In the decisive fifth set, AMIMYDO emerged victorious with a 16-14 score-line to secure their place in the final.

The sub-junior boys' final will take place on Monday, October 14 at 2:30 pm.

Meanwhile, SDVA prevailed over CDVA in a closely contested match with scores of 25-18, 17-25, and 15-13 .

TRYVC outclassed KDVA with scores of 25-15 and 25-11, while MPSC comfortably defeated NDVA 25-17 and 25-16 .

Although SCYC lost to SDVA, their earlier wins ensured their place in the semifinals.

The women's semifinals will see SDVA face MPSC and TRYVC meet SCYC on Monday.

In the men's quarterfinals, SCYC will be up against AAVA, MPSC will take on NYVA, AMIMYDO will clash with HVA, and KYLSC will play against TRYVC on Monday.
