VSAI, Keishamthong FC victorious in NBC A Cup

Imphal, August 13 2022: VSAI, Thangmeiband notched up a 4-1 win over NBCA as Keishamthong FC edged past Dress House 2-1 in the ongoing 3rd NBCA Cup 2022 Veteran Football Tournament organised by Nambul Brink Cultural Association (NBCA), Takyel Khongban Maning Leikai.

In the Group B opener, N Rajesh scored twice to hand VSAI a comfortable 4-1 win over hosts NBCA.

VSAI had a dominant start and were 2-0 ahead as N Rajesh and Ng Santosh added a goal each in the 3rd and the 9th minute before P Romesh made it 3-0 with a 33rd minute strike.

NBCA pulled back a goal via Sanahal in the 44th minute but their effort failed to impact the course of the game and N Rajesh rose once again to score his second in the 49th minute to give VSAI a three goal cushion and the eventual 4-1 win.

Meanwhile in the second Group B league match, Nepolean (6') and Sachin Rai (8') netted a goal apiece to hand Keishamthong FC a 2-1 win over Dress House FC, Patsoi.

The lone goal of the Patsoi team was scored by O Inaocha in the 15th minute of the match.

Tomorrow, RFC will play AMBA, Uripok in the second Group A league match and tournament's 5th from 3 pm before UVSA play MUSA in another Group A league match.
