SAI-RC, MPSC, FC Lamjao have it easy, MFA win in MSL

Imphal, February 12 2025: SAI-RC and MPSC made light work of their opponents, while FC Lamjao and Milan FA also emerged triumphant in their respective fixtures in the 17th Manipur State League 2024-25 on Wednesday.

Bless Vashum scored twice as SAI-RC swept aside NEROCA FC 5-0 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Afridi Buyamayum set the tone with an early breakthrough in the 15th minute, followed by a strike from Bless Vashum in the 38th minute.

Kharibam Pravananda Meitei extended the lead just after halftime in the 46th minute, before Bless Vashum secured his brace in the 68th minute.

Thiyam Chingkheinganba capped off the dominant display with a stoppage-time goal in the 90+4th minute.

Similarly, MPSC registered an emphatic 5-0 triumph over NESU at Sagolmang Ground, powered by a stellar hat-trick from Md Mustofa, who found the net in the 7th, 77th, and 89th minutes.

Wahengbam Jack Singh further strengthened MPSC's lead with two early goals in the 10th and 29th minutes, ensuring a comprehensive win.

Meanwhile, FC Lamjao claimed a 2-0 victory over United Brothers FC at the Artificial Turf Ground.

Md Samir broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, while Yumnam Avinash Singh doubled the advantage in the 81st minute, sealing the three points for FC Lamjao.

In a closely contested match at Sagolmang Ground, Milan FA edged past YOSC 2-1.Abash Huidrom gave Milan FA the lead in the 36th minute, but Keithelakpam Ibotomba restored parity for YOSC in the 72nd minute.

However, a decisive penalty by Ningthoujam George in the 81st minute ensured victory for Milan FA .
