Kangpokpi, December 11 2015 : The 15th edition of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Trophy, 2015 kicked off on Friday at Brig Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.

The inaugural ceremony of the tournament was graced by Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills as Chief Guest while Seikhomang Khongsai, President, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills and Kaikhosei Lhouvum, Executive Member, ADC Sadar Hills attended as Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.

Vikas Basnet, Executive Member, and other members of ADC Sadar Hills including S.Dama Vaiphei, Sagar Gewali and H.Khangba also attended the function apart from staffs of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council including Lhingkhonei Lotzem, Addl.

Chief Executive Officer and various CSOs within Sadar Hills like Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, KSO Sadar Hills, TSA Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi Town Committee, KWWU and KYU.

The ADC Sadar Hills Vice Chairman declared the tournament open after inspection of players by dignitaries and officials.

In the opening match Khanglai Junior FC defeated Kholjang Youth Club 3-2 .

Songpu Singsit, Seivanglen and Nehboithang Haokip scored for Khanglai Jr.

FC in the 8min, 47min and 53min respectively while Daniel and Laiginglen scored for Kholjang YC in the 25th and 47th min.respectively.

The Trophy carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and Trophy for the Champion team and Rs.30,000/- with Trophy for Runner up while 2nd Runner Up and Fourth Place team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
