SYDA drub SWYC 4-1, WYFC down RPU 3-1

Imphal, October 11 2019: L Kumarjit scored thrice to help SYDA, Athokpam earn a 4-1 win against SWYC, Charangpat while WYFC, Wangjing beat RPU, Papal by 3-1 goals in today's matches of the ongoing Thoubal Super Division Football League Tournament organised by District Football Association Thoubal.

In the first match of the day played at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, RPU took off the game brightly with Dayananda scoring the opener just two minutes into the game but WYFC responded quickly and drew level in the 11th minute with the help of Suraj before Joychandra completed the turnaround in the 31st minute of the match.

Jackson then stretched the lead for WYFC with a fine strike in the 33rd minute and eventually the Wangjing side walked home with all three points.

Elsewhere at Charangpat Pologround, L Kumarjit shone with three goals (20', 29', 55'), including the first two goals to help SYDA enter into the break with 2-0 lead against SWYC.

Th Ngouthoi scored the third goal for SYDA in the 54th minute as SWYC were never seen in contest before L Kumarjit rounded off his scoring the very next minute.

SYDA's N Meghachandra however conceded an own goal in the 71st minute as SWYC were making a late pressure thereby making the game end with 4-1 margin.
