13th Veteran Cricket Tournament Easy victory for Model Club-A

Imphal, December 09 2015: Model Club-A, Chingamakha registered an easy 8 wicket win against Blue Hawk, Khurai in the ongoing 13th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament, organised by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association (MVCA), today at Langthabal Ground, Imphal West.

The match began with Black Hawk opting to bat first after they won the toss.

Jati (17), Baballu (14) and Surjit (13) were the notable scorers for the Khurai team as Black Hawk struck 96 runs with all men down in 26.2 overs.

Model Club-A's bowlers Cherish and Premkumar impressed with both taking 3 wickets each while Iqbal bagged two wickets.

In return, Mujibur Rehman was the star player of Model Club-A as he hit 61 runs off 63 balls.

Chaoba also contributed 26 runs for the winning team.

Mujibur Rehman of Model Club-A was named the man of the match.

Tomorrow, IWVCC will meet NAPSA, Kha-Imphal.
