TRAU, AKSDO, PCC, SHADOW register victories in MNCA U-16 Boys Trophy

The MNCA U-16 Boys Trophy's Saturday's matches saw TRAU, AKSDO, PCC and SHADOW all carry the day.
TRAU hammered TCMDC by 137 runs in their meeting at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).
Electing to bat, TRAU posted a challenging total of 291/3 as Huiningshumbam Luching led the way with a brilliant knock of 113.Mutum Swabhi-man contributed a valuable 88 runs, while Ishorchandra Loitongbam added 60 to bolster the innings.
Preethson Arubam remained unbeaten with 1 run at the close.
After their strong batting performance, TRAU bowled out TCMDC for 154 in 32.5 overs.
Mutum Swabhiman led the attack with three wickets, while Preethson Arubam and Tyrus Chabungbam took two apiece.
Ringku Moirangthem, Huiningshumbam Luching, and Athoiba Loitongbam each chipped in with one wicket.
Despite Sanasam Himan Singh's 33 and Vishonath Laishram's 23, TCMDC's batters struggled to build partnerships in their chase.
AKSDO also delivered a commanding performance, defeating SCCC by eight wickets at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
AKSDO's bowlers skittled SCCC for a mere 44 runs in 17.2 overs, with Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei spearheading the attack, claiming three wickets.
Bishwonath Moirangthem and Chingamba Elangbam supported him with two wickets each, while Saikhom Dinesh, Laishram Nungshiba Singh, and Punshiba Akoijam each took one wicket.
Rojesh Athokpam's 20 was the only double-digit score in SCCC's disappointing innings.
AKSDO chased down the target in just 5.4 overs, with Borish Khundrakpam scoring 21 and Chingamba Elangbam adding 8.In the process, they lost one wicket to Rahul Thingbaijam, while Saikhom Lanchenba got run out.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, PCC outplayed RCA by 5 wickets.
RCA, choosing to bat first, were dismissed for a meagre 60 in 23.2 overs, with Zuned (24) being the lone batter to reach double figures.
Lucky Thokchom was the standout performer for PCC with 5 wickets, while Rojer Laisharam and Leishangthem Nelson each took 2, and Ziad Khan contributed one.
In their response, PCC completed the chase in 20.5 overs, with contributions from Lamnganba Nongmaithem (15 not out), Rahis Khan (9 not out), Lucky Thokchom (8) and Ziad Khan (5) .
In the process, they lost 2 wickets each to Nawaz Sarif and Md Irfan, and one to Zuned.
At Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, Thoubal, SHADOW edged out YUCC by 14 runs.
SHADOW, batting first, posted 206/9, driven by a magnificent 118 off 97 balls from Devis Khunjamayum.
Contributions from Arubam Goshan (25) and Sagatpam Lanchenba (12) also proved valuable.
For YUCC, K Malangba claimed four wickets, with Rajbir Khumanthem adding two.
In their chase, YUCC showed resilience but ultimately fell short, finishing at 192, with notable efforts from M Ricky, who scored 71, and Rajbir Khumanthem, who added 36 .
SHADOW'S Arubam Goshan Singh led a strong defence, taking five wickets, while Sagatpam Telheiba picked up two, and Sagatpam Lanchenba, Devis Khunjamayum, and Tomthinnganba Rajkumar each contributed with a wicket to seal the victory.
