Imphal, December 06 2024: The 24th Senior State Basketball Championship 2024 tipped off on Friday at the Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court, with SDBA, ESU, and CYLC securing victories on the opening day.

ESU commenced the tournament with an emphatic win, defeating YOSC by an 83-40 margin.

Demonstrating consistency and control, ESU led 22-11 at the end of the first quarter and marginally extended their advantage in the second, scoring 11-10 .

Their dominance became evident in the third quarter, where they surged ahead with a commanding 28-10 scoreline.

The final quarter saw ESU further consolidate their lead, closing the game 22-9 for a comprehensive victory.

In the seco nd match, CYLC delivered a strong performance to overpower DSWC 67-38, showcasing superior teamwork and execution.

Meanwhile, SDBA emerged victorious in a closely contested match against BDBA, edging out their opponents 61-55 .

The women's event also witnessed actio n, with ESU defeating SDBA 41-24 .

ESU's disciplined approach and efficient scoring ensured their dominance throughout the game.
