FC Imphal, SVA prevail in Sangai Trophy Veterans' Football Championship

Imphal, June 05 2022: FC Imphal and SVA notched up contrasting wins in Sunday's fixtures of the 4th Sangai Trophy Veterans' Football Championship.

A Dilip scored a hat-trick to steer FC Imphal to a comfortable 4-1 victory over AYVFA.

Dilip started off with a 5th minute opener but W Tomba equalised for AYVFA in the 9th minute only to see Dilip score his second goal in the 18th minute to-regain FC Imphal's lead as H Subol made it 3-1 in the 22rld minute before Dilip completed his hat-trick just before the break.

FC Imphal maintained their 4-1 lead through the second-half exchanges to emerge easy winners.

SVA, meanwhile, ground out a hard-fought 1-0 win over CVFA in the second match.

H Momocha converted for his side in the 7th minute and his goal was enough for SVA to clinch the match.
