16th DG AR & 10th Jr State Equestrian C'ships begins

Imphal, March 05 2019: The 16th DG AR and 10th Junior State Equestrian Championships organised by Manipur Equestrian Association and sponsored by Assam Rifles began today at Mapal Kangjeibung in the presence of Dr Ksh Chourjit Singh, president Manipur Pony Society; Professor Ch Priyoranjan, vice president, Manipur Equestrian Association as presidium members.

The opening day of the championship participated by 106 male riders and 30 female riders of various affiliated units, saw Ksh Chourjit receive salutes from 7 contingents representing their respective unit.

The day also witnessed RK Nilu administer oath for fair play.

Tent pegging events for senior categories and show jumping for junior girls will be held tomorrow.
