Manipur secure second win on trot at Sub-Junior Girls' NFC

Manipur clinched their second straight win with a 7-2 drubbing of Tamil Nadu in a Group a match of the Sub-Junior Girls' National Football Championship Tier 1 in Malda on Wednesday.
After Tamil Nadu took an early lead in the 2nd minute through S Dharshini, but Manipur made it all square in the 42nd minute with Laishram Rani Devi on target.
Then again, Tamil Nadu regained their lead courtesy of Sahana K, who converted in the second minute of first-half added time.
After the restart, Manipur got their act together and went on a rampage, overwhelming their opponents with a five-goal barrage.
Chingkhamayum Redima Devi sparked the second-half surge with a quick double (67, 69) .
And Laitonjam Linthoi Chanu followed suit, scoring twice in the 75th and 80th minutes, before Thoudam Malemnganbi Devi rounded off the scoring with an 84th-minute strike as Manipur secured their second victory on the trot in dominant fashion.
Laitonjam Linthoi Chanu was named the player of the match.
